Playmker is a playbook platform for football and Rugby Union coaches and their squads, operated from the United Kingdom. We built it with a simple stance on data: collect the minimum a team needs to share its plays, and nothing more. This policy explains what we hold, why, and your rights over it.
Playmker ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@playmker.com.
Coaches. When you create an account we collect your name, email address and team name, plus your subscription status. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.
Players. Deliberately minimal: a first name or nickname and a shirt number, added by the coach so each player can see their own run in a play. We do not ask players for email addresses, dates of birth, photographs or any other personal details, and we do not build player profiles.
Plays and content. The plays, drills and notes a coach creates. These belong to the coach and their club, not to us - if you leave, your plays leave with you.
Technical data. Basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics (page views and feature use, not tied to advertising identifiers) and the logs any service needs to stay secure and reliable.
Many squads include players under 18. That is exactly why player data is limited to a name and shirt number. Clubs and coaches are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent (from parents or guardians where required) before adding young players to a squad, in line with their club's safeguarding policies. We never contact players directly, never show them advertising, and never share their information.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Your playbook is stored on your own device and, once accounts launch, in our UK/EU-hosted database so it syncs across devices. Share links encode the play itself in the link; anyone you send one to can view that play, so share them as you would any team material.
For as long as you have an account. Delete your account and your data is removed from our systems within 30 days, apart from invoicing records we are legally required to retain. You can export your plays at any time first.
Only the processors needed to run the service - hosting, payments and transactional email - each bound by data processing agreements. We list current processors on request. We disclose data to authorities only where legally required.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict processing. Email info@playmker.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
